Brattleboro Literary Festival
Windham County Reads is now a Brattleboro Literary Festival partner,
with responsibility for events featuring authors and illustrators of
books for children and young adults. In 2007, those events included
two-time Newbery Medal winner Lois Lowry at the Latchis Theatre,
Palestinian poet and educator Ibtisam Barakat at Centre Congregational
Church and picture book creators Leda Schubert and Matt Tavares at the
Hooker-Dunham Theater.
The Brattleboro Literary Festival is run entirely by volunteers, and all author events are free. The 2008 Festival will be held Friday, October 3 through Sunday, October 5 in venues throughout downtown Brattleboro. Visit the Festival website now at brattleboroliteraryfestival.org to learn more about festivals past, and again next summer for more information about the upcoming one!
