Books & Breakfast brings community volunteers into area elementary schools each day to read to children during school breakfast. Volunteers share their enthusiasm for books and reading, open milk cartons and offer encouragement for another day of learning.

We are currently recruiting volunteer readers for programs at Central Elementary School in Bellows Falls and Green Street School in Brattleboro. If you love to read aloud, enjoy spending time with children in grades K through 6 and can commit to an early morning school visit one day a week, please be in touch! We provide volunteers with an orientation, book suggestions and ongoing support.
